while RPI is known for learn Linux and start coding
from the beginning that real
desktop app programming / GUI
comes short or, for more easy start, begins with 'PyGame' ...
and i was in exact same situation a decade ago...
in the meantime i try to stay up to date
learn / teach
* web development
* micro controller ( add web server and data handling like mqtt )
and actually lost track on what had happened on the real app development front..
but sure noticed that some things have changed
like now for RPI OS 64bit on my RPI4 use
* OS: Debian GNU/Linux 13 (trixie) aarch64
* Kernel: Linux 6.12.62+rpt-rpi-v8
* WM: labwc (Wayland)
* Theme: gtk2 [Qt]
RPI OS Linux? support default QT5? or even QT6?
i did a test to show a picture of RPI SCRATCH Deutsch
post
to say that even NON ENGLISH native kids can start learn coding early
( as usually need learn english first / means they are 5 years late ! )
it's a while i play micro controller
but for restart order:
ESP32 C6
IDE
unpack and BLINK test
1M loop test
WiFi and Advanced Webserver
check 16MB flash
check WiFi signal
Power Meter Project
even i work in Industrial Automation and Instrumentation ( and Electric )
( using so called Process Control Systems )
that what you think of
PLC Programmable Logic Controller
was never my thing,
but sure, some subcontractor used them and we linked them into the PCS via Modbus
try use RPI3 as MINI NAS
follow:

i have a PICO W project that works under
MicroPython 1.23.0
but not in newer versions
micropython.org/download/RPI_PICO_W/
so i asked Twitter Friends
and now filed a ISSUE
github.com/micropython/micropython/issues/16792
on this win10 PC last setup
after WD BLACK 250GB NVME drive died
( yes i got a new one for free as there is a 5 year warranty )
not have arduino IDE
test if i could run my current big project from ESP32S3 also on a ESP32
i try on that, even after jumper the cpu temperature thing ended in kernel panic auto reboot
but i noticed that this ESP32 i have, has 2 DAC pins ( Analog OUT )
a rare feature i want use.
